Christmas Celebration No. 1

Our trip to Michigan last weekend went very well and was lots of fun—and no, there was no screaming or pooping on the plane. In fact, Elsa was very good for both plane trips and didn't cry at all. She even fell asleep on my lap on the way home, something she rarely does these days.

Although our visit was just three weeks after we were there for Thanksgiving, Elsa and her cousin Carter were much more interactive with each other this time, staring and smiling at each other on several occasions. Here they are, sitting together ...

... and here they are, falling over together.

Elsa got lots of fun Christmas presents, including a "black friend" from Grandma B. that is supposed to compensate for the lack of diversity in our neighborhood (see below). Grandma added the Marquette logo to the puppet's shirt, because she apparently wants Elsa to think that all black people play basketball. : )

Here's Elsa, Carter, and Elsa's Black Friend, a.k.a. Franklin and/or Dwyane Wade.

Carter is clearly mad he didn't get a Dwayne Wade as well.

That picture of them falling over is so adorable!

Have a Merry Christmas over there, we will be thinking of you guys!
