Playdates—here's one with Alex R. They played in the sprinkler and experimented with chalk and water.

We went to a party for Miss Liesl, Elsa's preschool teacher. She got married this summer and left Audubon, which made Elsa very sad. The party was held at Miss Liesl's parents' farm. The girls loved seeing the animals, of course.
We went hiking a few times at Lion's Den Gorge in Grafton.
It's a beautiful place, and we were thrilled to see that dogs are allowed there, even down on the beach.
So on one occasion, we even took Belle Belle with us!
At the end of the summer, both girls did the Homestead High School Dance Clinic. Here's Elsa's group during their performance (although Elsa is kind of hidden in this picture).
And here's Elsa at "meet the teacher day" right after the Dance Clinic, with friends Autumn (who recently moved in two courts down from us) and Cate.

And we finished off our summer with a family trip to the baseball game on Labor Day.
