Fourth of July

We had a great time once again at our Fourth of July party! As usual, we were too busy to take very many pictures, but I did manage to get a few.

It was CRAZY hot but we found various ways to cool off. I was really pleased with myself for making this raspberry lemonade beer cocktail and serving it in the cutest glasses ever with the cutest straws ever. : )

Bob's friend David set up a blind beer tasting "event" for all the guys. Apparently there wasn't much consensus about the best brand, though. : )

And of course, the kids cooled off via the sprinkler and our baby pool.

The sprinkler even became a drinking fountain. Delicious.

How many kids will fit in this pool? Answer: All but one (the one being Tommy, who couldn't tear himself away from our playroom!).

Claire had a great time with Bernie, David and Sarah's daughter. In fact, Bernie, who's 15 months old, was braver with the sprinkler than Claire was!

Last weekend we also went to the Mequon Fourth of July parade (remarkably, it was only 5 days before the holiday this time! Woo hoo!)

Elsa rode on the North Shore Dance Studio float again—I couldn't possibly say no, since they had the perfect costumes for it! Eliana was on the float as well, along with a few other classmates, and Elsa said she had a great time waving to everybody, despite the ridiculous heat.

Smiling and waving to the crowd!

Love all the pictures, Elsa's dance costume was perfect for the Fourth!

Your party decor looks amazing, the straws are one of my favorite parts. The whole scene looks very Barefoot Contessa / Martha. Nice!
