Dancy Pants

Claire got the best early Christmas present she could have asked for at the Holiday Open House at Elsa's dance class—she got to participate! It's what she's been waiting for and asking about All. Year. Long.

The open house is one of the few times a year when parents can sit in on the class and watch. So Elsa's teacher invited the younger siblings to participate, probably mainly to keep them occupied. But Claire got a good taste of what it will be like when she's in her own dance class next fall—from the opening stretches through the final "cool-down." And oh yes, she was into it.

She tried to do every single thing the teacher and the bigger girls did. It was pretty adorable. I was actually impressed by how much she could do (or at least attempt to do). And Elsa was so sweet about trying to help her sister, letting Claire stand next to her, etc.

When Claire wasn't stealing the show, I was once again impressed by how much they've learned since last year. Here's Elsa "walking on the tight rope" (i.e., the line).

And here she is doing a final dance to the Chipmunks singing Jingle Bells. That's our next-door neighbor Anna on the far left, and Elsa's friend Eliana facing the camera.

Adorable dancing by both girls! It's so cute that Claire wants to dance so much. I can't wait to hear how her own class goes!

We miss you guys!
