Spring Lake Visit

For the last part of our trip to Michigan, we headed out to Spring Lake to see Grandpa and Grandma J. It was a beautiful day and we thought about going to the beach at Grand Haven State Park, but the Coast Guard Festival was going on, so it undoubtedly way too insane. But Spring Lake has a nice little beach itself, just two minutes down the road from Grandpa and Grandma's, so we decided to spend a few hours there.

Elsa surprised me by being an absolute fish while we were there! She wasn't even interested in playing in the sand, she just wanted to swim the entire time. Unfortunately, I had forgotten to pack my OWN bathing suit, but Grandma was nice enough to spend a TON of time in the water with Elsa. Elsa had such a great time and we definitely have Grandma to thank for that.
Mia and Carter really enjoyed the water as well. Mia kept heading back in, even though her little teeth (what few she has) were chattering like crazy.

And she loved her little floaty boat.

Claire, on the other hand, spent her beach time snoozing. Nothing wrong with that, I love a good nap on the beach myself!

After the excitement of the beach, it was time for more cake and presents. Elsa got a toy story bubble blower, a "squid" thing, and this Melissa & Doug "Puppy Pursuit" game.

A big box full of little stuffed puppies and instructions for ten different games you can play with them. We all knew that would be a hit with Elsa!

Thank you to everyone in Michigan for another wonderful trip. The girls had so much fun and we can't wait to come back!
