Two Month Stats

Elsa and I took Claire for her two-month checkup yesterday. Claire weighed in at 13 pounds, 10 ounces, which is between the 90th and the 95th percentile, so she's definitely working her way toward being off the charts, just like her big sis! Her height was 23 inches, which is the 75th percentile, and her head circumference was 40 cm, also the 75th percentile.

For those keeping score at home, Elsa weighed 12 pounds, 12 ounces at her two-month checkup. However, since Claire had such a big head start on Elsa in birth weight (9-6 versus 8-1), Claire actually gained a bit less in her first two months than Elsa did. I'm guessing they'll even out and their four month weights will be about the same (which is to say, similarly huge). Their height and head sizes are pretty similar already—at two months, Elsa was 23.25 inches long and her head was 40.5 cm.

Claire also got a whole bunch of shots and a clean bill of health. Just one small problem: She seems to be consistently turning her head to the right. She doesn't have a flat spot, but we're still supposed to force her head toward the left at every opportunity.
