Advent Activities

In addition to Soda with Santa and decorating the Christmas tree (twice!), we've been doing our usual Advent calendar activities this Christmas season!

We hung up the stockings and Christmas decorations ....

Read lots of seasonal stories, including the story of the first Christmas and a book about the meaning and traditions of Hanukkah...

St. Nick made his annual visit for St. Nick's Day ....

 We picked out our Christmas tree at a Christmas tree farm ...

Had some delicious hot chocolate ....

We went to see Milwaukee First Stage's production of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, which was incredible adorable, with costumes and staging exacty like the TV special ....

And we did a family outing to Bayshore Mall for the annual tree lighting ceremony. It was freezing but there was lots of fun things for the girls, including this goofy little train.

I thought these toy soldiers on stilts were pretty cool!
