Finishing Off Our Trip: Grandma's House

We spent our last few days of our Florida vacation at Grandma B.'s house. And if it looks like pretty much all of the pictures are of the girls in the pool, that's because the girls pretty much never got out of the pool.

Seriously, they were obsessed with it. Elsa was in the pool on Wednesday from about 9:30 a.m. until about 3:30 p.m., with one very short break for lunch. The whole rest of the time, she was in the water. For Claire, it was only slightly less! It wasn't even all that warm out! Fortunately, Grandpa had been running the pool heater for days, and the water was about 90 degrees. : )

There were also a few pool toys at their disposal. Including a large inflatable slide that took several hours and an industrial air compressor to inflate.

Grandma and Mommy weren't too excited about going in the pool when the air temperature was only about 70. Fortunately, Grandpa really enjoyed playing with the girls. (And Mommy and Grandma were convinced to get in a few times in the afternoon, when it was warmer.)

Here's Claire, geared up and going into battle with Grandpa.

Take that, Grandpa!

 Battle cry! (Or something.)

Lunch generally looked like this: Accomplished as quickly as possible so they could go right back in the pool.

By the time we left, these two little girls were swimming like fishes! Elsa was easily swimming across the pool on her own—it was the best swimming I'd ever seen her do. And Claire was paddling around in an inflatable ring all by herself. She also jumped off the steps with her ring on, all by herself with nobody to catch her. She even jumped one time without her ring on (totally by accident—she forgot she wasn't wearing it), and had to be fished out. That freaked her out a little, but she was right back at it soon enough.

We love you, Grandma! The girls sure do miss you and can't wait to see you guys at Christmas.
