Elsa's dance class had their yearly holiday open house this week. The parents are not usually allowed to watch the class (which is fine by me, since Claire gets pretty fussy at Elsa's classes anyway). But the last class before the holiday break is always open to the parents, so we can see what they've been up to in there. I was pleasantly surprised this year. Last year it just seemed like three-year-old chaos. This year, they're actually doing some ballet positions and tap dance steps. (They never even did tap last year.)
Elsa still has some trouble following along with the steps, but no more so than a few of the other little girls in the class. And it is a four- and five-year-old class, so unlike last year, Elsa is probably one of the youngest in there.
So compared to last year's holiday open house, Elsa is clearly a much better dancer (for whatever that's worth).
