The Brewers had a charity golf outing last Monday on the golf course behind our house, as part of their celebration of the 25th anniversary of their last World Series appearance. Fortunately, it was a beautiful day, and Bob wasn't very busy at work, so he was able to play hooky that afternoon. We all hung out together in the back yard while Bob tried to spot his favorite '82 players on the green right behind our house!

So not only did we have a lovely, relaxing afternoon on one of the nicest days of the summer, sitting under our giant willow tree, but we also got to see Robin Yount, Gorman Thomas, Bob Uecker, and Cory Hart attempting to sink their putts. We also saw some spectacularly bad golf—it was actually kind of amusing (and might have been a little dangerous, if it weren't for the big spruce trees along the back of our yard). We were actually kind of glad we didn't see Prince Fielder, because his ball might have ended up embedded in our siding!

I love the picture of Bob and Elsa sitting (backs to the camera) watching for their favorite players. How cool for Bob - especially to be able to do so in his own back yard! I also love that Elsa sported her Brewers shirt, she's quite a fan!
See you SOON!
Love,
Ellen
p.s. It kind of reminds me of when we had to sit in the lobby of that New York hotel and watch for Tigers coming out of the elevator. Remember how Mom made us go up and ask for autographs?! Hopefully Bob didn't make Elsa crawl over to the green for him.
