Random Updates

Here's what we've been up to in the first part of 2013:

Claire had Pajama Day at school. I think it's funny that she chose the exact same pajamas that Elsa wore to her first Pajama Day at school.

 We went for lunch at our new favorite place, First Watch, on one of Elsa's early release days. Too bad I didn't realize that they actually do eat lunch on release days! They eat at 10:15 and are released at 12:25!

We enjoyed a beautiful snowy day at Audubon. (Well, several beautiful snowy days, actually. More than enough of them.)

Elsa got her first ever report card, and she got straight S's! Apparently that's good. : ) Plus she got two bonus stars for "expressing self through art." Her teacher said in the notes that she "is very talented and motivated and always adds her original and imaginative ideas to any project or writing assignment. Her artistry is really quite a gift. She is a pleasure to have in class and I look forward to seeing her continued growth."

Finally, for Elsa's "100 Days of School" celebration, we were instructed to decorate this paper-bag vest with 100 of something (anything). So we decorated Elsa's with 100 colorful fabric flowers. We had a lot of fun making this!
