Happy Halloween! We had a fun one, with Karina, Tommy, and Tanya joining us for the festivities.

I'm sure it will surprise no one that Elsa was Jessie from Toy Story. And it will surprise no one that Claire was the
same thing as Elsa 3 years ago—a pink and yellow bumble bee.

Since trick-or-treating is less than optimal in our neighborhood (the houses are far apart, half the houses are inhabited by stingy old folks who don't come to the door), Jessie, Tinkerbelle, and the rest of us struck out for a more Halloween-friendly location. First we tried the neighborhood just down the road, which has a ton of kids and is supposed to be great for trick or treating. Too bad they had theirs the night before! So instead we ended up in Whitefish Bay, and that's clearly the place to go around here. They had whole streets blocked off—it was a like a block party on a sugar high.

Elsa collected Claire's treats for her. She considered going up to get them herself, but I guess in the end, it was either too long a walk or the people were too scary to approach (maybe both).

We even ran into the rest of Jessie's Toy Story gang on the streets.

Thanks to Whitefish Bay's closely-spaced homes, our trick-or-treating was highly efficient this year. Elsa must have tripled her haul from previous years. And as always, she loved trick-or-treating with Karina. Enjoy your candy, everybody!
