Year-End Projects, Part 1

We got a CD of pictures taken by Elsa's preschool teachers throughout the school year. Here are some of my favorites—it's Elsa's first year of school, in review. : )

First hike on the first day of school.

Muddy Elsa.

Spanish with Sarah and Paco.

Playdough fun.

More exploring.

Riding the horsey.

On a "hayride" with Maria during the farm unit.

Visiting the lake.

Playing in leaves.

With friend Maria.

At the Harvest Soup Party right before Thanksgiving.

Snake! Snake!

Making a snow angel.

Getting a sled all to herself!

Checking out a fox fur with Aaron.

Making animal tracks in playdough "snow."

Ready to head out for a hike.

Sledding with Aaron.

My cutie.

The pajama party.

With Aaron, Maria, Howl, and Joey.

Wearing the animal track shirt that she made when they studied tracks.

Fingerpainting with Tim.

Reading with one of the other moms.

With a snowman she built all by herself.

The half-birthday girl makes her three-and-a-half trips around the sun on February 22.

Blowing out her birthday candle before enjoying the special cereal birthday snack.

Both of us, playing with some of the other kids.

Helping drill the class's maple tree, to kick off maple syrup time.

Tasting sap right out of the tree.

Mud season begins!

Climbing and balancing.

Stacking firewood. It's amazing how often the nature center actually puts these kids to work! : )

Snacking on s'mores around the campfire with Brian, Tim, and David.

Letters on the light table.

Licking her plate after a special "snack" of pancakes and maple syrup.

Checking out the dog skeleton during a visit from a veterinarian.

The whole gang.

Hugging "Grandpa Tree."

My little tree climber.

Contemplating nature.

Her favorite part of school: "I like picking up the dirt!" (Really? That's your favorite part of school, Elsa?)

These pictures of pre-school are a wonderful diary. It makes it so clear what a special school she attends. Cute and special Elsa. We miss her (and Claire).
Love, Grandma B.
