How often does this happen on Memorial Day weekend in Wisconsin?
We had our warmest, most beautiful Memorial Day weekend in recent memory this year, and we took full advantage of it. I think we ate outside on the patio for almost every meal we spent at home.
And Bob used his smoker to make this healthy concoction ... I think it's bacon wrapped around pork tenderloin wrapped around pizza sauce, cheese, pepperoni and onion.
Even Claire enjoyed her meals as fresco.
On the Sunday before Memorial Day we went to Jim and Joy Mattern's new house in Oak Creek for a cookout. There were lots of fun things for the kids to do, including a bouncy thingy.
But the hit of the evening was, surprisingly, the sprinkler. Something tells me we'll have ours out a lot this summer.
