Two-Year Stats

We had our two-year checkup today, and Elsa weighed in at 31 pounds, 14.5 ounces. That means she gained only a little over a pound in six months, and she's now in the 94th percentile! So yay, we're back on the charts (just barely, but hopefully this time, we'll stay there)! She's 35.75 inches tall, which is the 90th percentile for height, and even her head size is in the 90th percentile, so at this point Elsa is just about as proportional as she can be. Big, but proportional. Can't complain about that.

Elsa was mostly well-behaved, although they called us in to the examination room almost immediately, so she was pretty unhappy about not being able to play with the toys in the waiting room. Also, the doctor really wanted to see Elsa jump, and Elsa just flat-out refused. It basically became a power struggle between the two of them. Our doctor is very nice, but the more she asked Elsa to jump, the more determined Elsa was that she would not do it, and the more insistent the doctor was that she needed to see it. In the end, Elsa won (I tried my best to talk her into it, promising her all sorts of things if she did, but you just can't force a kid to jump if they don't want to). Despite the jumping issue, I thought she was a good girl overall, so I took her out for ice cream after the appointment.
